There have been an abundance of new (or in many cases relist) listings hitting the beachfront home market lately. It may just be a coincidence or it may be that money seems to be pouring in from displaced fire buyers wanting and needing to find something quickly.
One of the latest homes to hit the market may seem like it’s back on the market, but it’s actually sold both the two prior times it hit the market, so for these purposes this is a new listing.
4320 The Strand is listed by Bryn Stroyke of Bayside.
4320 The Strand was designed by architect Michael Lee and completed in 2018. The home is on a very small corner lot in the El Porto area of Manhattan Beach, but the square footage and design achieved was anything but small.
4320 The Strand features almost endless windows that brings the beach so much closer, allows for incredible light and views and brings in the beach breezes. The home is located on a corner walkstreet meaning no direct neighbor to the north allowing for big views even from the side of the home.
The layout and open floorplan allows for maximum ocean views with multiple levels of floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors.
The design and build maximized the square footage with a multi level layout that allowed for an impressive 3,592 square feet on 5 levels! The square footage with ample outdoor areas are impressive. The location may pose somewhat of a challenge as it’s almost at the very end of the Manhattan sand section and just behind the very busy entrance to the beach/surf parking lot.

Endless views and plenty of space to enjoy the beachfront location
108 The Strand, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
Listed at $27,995,000
What would be a record setting price, the impressive beachfront home at 108 The Strand Manhattan Beach just hit the market at $27,995,000.
Listed by Josh and Matthew Altmanof Douglas Elliman of California.
This modern chic home offers 6,910 square feet on and offers 5 bedrooms and 8 baths. The home is listed at almost $28,000,000 which is a pretty significant number given that it sold in 2018 for $15,250,000. This would also be the highest on market sale with the previous record sale in June 2024 at $24,500,000 at 1800 The Strand.
The south Manhattan Beach sand section location offers views of the iconic Manhattan Beach pier and is close, but not too close, to the action downtown.
Beachfront Project Home Sells on the Strand for $12,337,500
1508 The Strand, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
The recent sale of the beachfront home at 1508 The Strand in Manhattan Beach was an interesting one. It had clearly been in the midst of at least a partial remodel when the work clearly stopped. That said it wasn’t a tear down or lot value at it offers almost 5,600 square feet.
The home was listed by Stephanie Thomas of West Shores Realty & Jennifer Caskey of Compass
The location was great being just a few blocks from downtown, having an incredible view of the iconic Manhattan Beach pier and being beach front of course.
1508 The Strand in Manhattan Beach featured 5 bedrooms and 5 and a half baths on 3 levels with almost 5,589 square feet. The views and lcoation are amazing.
This spacious home hit the market in early September for $13,749,000 and went into escrow after only 2 weeks and sold for $12,337,500. It would appear that the sellers were quite motivated.

The newest listing on the beachfront home market on the Manhattan Beach Strand is also one of the more recent sales. Having been built in 2022, the home last sold in June of 2023 for $8,250,000 and is now up for sale once again….this time for $9,995,000. We are not aware of any changes to the home since that sale a year ago.
The home is beautiful and also interesting and unique. Upon entry it feels like a single family home but it’s actually a uniquely laid out condo with another unit above. 4016 has both the lower levels so 2 levels of beachfront. Space is efficiently designed and the home definitely has the “cool” factor with impressive built ins, high end finishes and some stunning views of course.
One negative (if beachfront living can have a negative) is that the home is located in the El Porto area of Manhattan Beach and sits behind the beach parking lot of north Manhattan Beach making it a bit more congested and busier than beachfront homes further south.
It’s not uncommon for these very expensive beachfront homes to bounce from on market to off market and then back again. If the address sounds familier it’s because it was listed for $12,500,000 back in September of 2023 and then pulled off in February of this year.
4308 The Strand has returned to the market, listed by Molly Graw of Pacifica Properties and is now pricced at $11,500,000.
4308 The Strand is a 3 level single family on a 33 x 105 foot lot in the north Manhattan sand section. This area called north Manhattan, is more commonly known as El Porto.
The home was built in 2000 and offers an impressive 4,354 square feet with a private apartment as well.
The one challenge is that this part of the Strand sits behind the beach lot so there’s often a flurry of activity out front due to the beach access and popular surf spot. While the views are similar, values definitely get lowered in this stretch of The Strand.
4308 The Strand, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266 – $11,500,000

The newest listing on the Manhattan Beach Strand is actually the second beachfront home to hit the market in the past 10 days.
304 The Stand Manhattan Beach is on an ideal stretch of the beach (ok there are no bad beachfront locations!) duplex in the Manhattan Beach sand section. This ideal location is close to both downtown Manhattan and Hermosa while being far enough to avoid the summer crowds.
304 The Strand is listed by Kevin Pratt & Amy Olivares of Strand Hill Properties
The property is being sold in it’s current duplex configuration but also being lightly marketed as a future build site as there are plans from architect Anthony Laney to tear down and build a modern masterpiece.
The property has a main beachfront owner’s type residence featuring 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. This unit features 2 beachfront levels both with nice outdoor patio/deck spaces. This unit was remodeled in 2015 according to the listing.
Above the garage is a separage 1 bedroom 1 bathroom home with it’s own entrance and ideal for renters, guests or extended family. The property offers a spacious roof top deck with unblockable panoramic beach and ocean views.

Classic Beachfront with views of the iconic Manhattan Pier
1000 The Strand Manhattan Beach CA 90266
Listed at $30,000,000
The newest addition to the crowded beachfront home market in Manhattan Beach is one that’s been on the market in the past and certainly unique. This one is definitely hard to miss with it’s iconic location and 1922 era look.
The home is listed by Brett Zebrowski of Palm Realty.
You can still picture this iconic home in black and white photos where there were few other homes in the area. Located just a block to the pier on a lot and a half, the ideal south facing corner walkstreet lot enjoys a pretty incredible 50 feet of beach frontage with unblockable views of the beach, the ocean and the Manhattan Beach pier.
While marketed as a 4 plex, the current coniguration offers a very large “main” home with 5 bedrooms and over 3,500 square feet that includes an in-law 1 bedroom (considered another unit in the listing)
The other 2 units are both 1,200+ sq foot townhome style layouts over the rear garage. All have incredible views and all were recently remodeled and updated.
The home was on the market in 2020 listed for $25,900,000 and last sold for $21,000,000 in 2017.

The home was built in 2000 and offers a sizable 4,354 square feet of living space.
The incredible beachfront location affords some panoramic ocean views from every level.
