It’s been a good year so far for oceanfront condos in South Redondo Beach.  There have been listings in buildings we have seen homes sales in years. 

If you’re searching for a true oceanfront home in the South Bay….you have to check this one out.  727 Esplanade unit#405 is a 2 level condo in the Riviera Shores building which just doesn’t see many listings. 

This beautiful home resides on the top floor and the views are unblocked and simply incredible.  There’s nothing out front unitl you reach Catalina or Hawaii!  

The condo is listed by Martha (Mimi) Alonso with RE/MAX Estate Properties.

The home is a 2 bedroom + den/office with 2 1/2 baths and a bit over 1,500 square feet.  Most of the home is on the main level and areas include the living and dining rooms with fireplace, huge windows and 20+ foot soaring celings.  Also on this level is the office, laundry and a spacious suite (unfortunately no view).

The top level is a loft style suite complete with it’s own private patio on the roof.

The amenities of Riviera shores are limited, but the complex does have a jacuzzi and sauna.  

The condo had been listed in 2019 for $1,600,000 but did not sell and was eventually pulled off of the market.

555 Esplanade #115 in Redondo Beach is actually not new, but relisted….at a higher price?    The condo in the Casa Bahia building was pulled off of the market in October 2023  after about 3 months on the market.  It’s back and strangely at a higher price than it was when it didn’t sell in 2023.  It’s back on the market priced at $1,729,000.  The last price in 2023 was at $1,650,000 although it had originally been listed at $1,789,000 in June of 2023….so it’s lower now than that original price in their first attempt.

The condo is beautiful and with the oceanview living room and oceanfront oversized deck the highlights.  The oceanfront living room has gotten a nice update between the former owner and the current owner.  The current owner replaced the rather ornate fireplace with a beach inspired stacked stone fireplace that has a beautiful and clean coastal look. The layout is a bit unusual as there bedrooms and living spaces are on different levels, but spaces are all nicely updated and remodeled and the views are incredible.  The ground level location makes for a very oversized patio to sit back, hear the sounds of the waves just outfront, and live the vacation lifestyle. 

The condo last sold in 2020 for $1,325,000 with some, but not all, of the remodeling already done.
