Beachfront home sales have been a challenge lately as the combination of a high number of homes on the market and lofty prices have made for a slow market.  We recently mentioned the home at 3033 The Strand as it’s on a very nice sized lot with great beach frontage.  The north Hermosa location is ideal as it’s quieter than areas down near the pier and is about equidistant from downtown areas of both Manhattan and Hermosa.  We’ll keep you posted if and when this home closes and the sales price can be released.

Big Price Reduction on 2426 The Strand in Hermosa Beach

Although it’s been on the market for quite a while they just had a major price reduction on the beachfront duplex at 2426 The Strand in Hermosa Beach.  While price reductions on homes on The Strand in Manhattan and Hermosa Beach are very common this was a big drop.  The home price dropped from $19,250,000 (which was extremely aggressive) to $15,295,000.  We’ll see if that makes a difference as the oceanfront home market is quite slow despite a recent uptick in home sales along the beach.

Oceanfront Home Still For Sale Redondo Beach – 717 The Esplanade

Some homes have a long history on the market and the home at 717 The Esplande in Redondo Beach is certainly one of them. The home is beautiful and offers one of the best locations in the South Bay.  If offers privacy you can’t get on the Manhattan Beach Strand or Hermosa Beach Strand and as it sits up high on the bluff the views are spectacular.  The price has been a challenge over time, however.  Originally listed in 2013 for an unprecedented (at the time) price of $14,250,000.  A year later they changed realtors and lowered the price to $12,999,900 and briefly went into contract but that fell through and the home was again pulled off of the market after about a year.  It came back on the market at the beginning of 2019 for $12,000,000 with another realtor and was now reduced to $9,975,000.  At this price it is definitely worth consideration as it’s a home that’s hard to duplicate.  717 Esplanade offers over 7,000 square feet on a relatively unheard of 11,000+ foot oceanfront lot.  Listed with Chris Adlam of Vista Sotheby’s International Realty.

Back on the Market With a New Price – 3001 The Strand Hermosa Beach
