4104 The Strand In Manhattan Beach Closes at $6,230,000

The latest sale on the beachfront home market on The Strand in Manhattan Beach is a classic beach bungalow built in 1938.  This one is pretty original but also has some of that classic beach charm that you just don’t get any longer.  We certainly envision this one getting torn down and replaced with a modern luxury home but stranger things have happened.  The home is pretty far north in the El Porto area so unfortunately it sits just east of the beach parking lot and overlooks the lot (although significantly raised up)  The home features 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and just under 2,000 feet

The home was listed at $6,499,000 and sold at $6,230,000.

4320 The Strand Manhattan Beach

Beauty at the Beach – El Porto Beachfront Home at 4320 the Strand

Welcome to luxury beachfront living at 4320 The Strand.   This latest listing on the luxury beachfront home market was designed by Michael Lee with a floorplan that allows for maximum ocean views with multiple levels of floor to ceiling windows and sliding doors.  View are unblocked and unblockable and the setup allows for huge windows with a surprising sense of privacy on the upper floors.  The design and build maximized the square footage with an impressive 3,500+ square feet.  The home is stunning with the only challenges being the smaller lot size and the location in the very northern end of El Porto which tends to be fairly busy with the beach parking lot out front and the surfers that use it.  Overall it’s a beautiful beachfront  property.

3416 The Strand – Beachfront Home Sells in Manhattan Beach

The highest priced sale in December was…..not surprisingly, a beachfront home on the famous Manhattan Beach Strand.  The property was a duplex with the main home with a 2nd smaller unit in the rear.  The property was built in 1950 but had been extensively remodeled over the years.  It had a nice open feel and the dark wood accents along with dark flooring gave the main home a nautical feel.  The home was listed at $11,500,000 and sold at $10,650,000.

Big Home Sale on the Beach – 508 The Strand Manhattan Beach

508 The Strand, Manhattan Beach CA 90266

Sells at $19,200,000

In one of the biggest sales of some time, 508 The Strand just recently closed at an eye opening price of $19,200,000.   The home was originally listed in March at $19,900,000.  The home was marketed as a new build but the home was still technically an almost entire remodel.   The south sand section location couldn’t get much better.   *The home was not actually a new build but was an almost complete remodel so basically was new construction.  The home offers 5 bedrooms, 6 baths and over 4,300 square feet (according to builder) of living space.  What we love about this one is the windows.  Strangely some Strand homes just don’t take full advantage of the location and views….not this home.  Walls of windows on all three floors bring the outdoors in and are ideal for modern living.”

6 Beachfront Home Sales on the Manhattan Beach Strand Since September

Considering that there were 6 total on market oceanfront property sales in all of 2020, the past 45 days has been nothing short of amazing on the Manhattan Beach StrandThe Strand is the oceanfront stretch of homes extending from the beginning of Hermosa Beach to the end of north Manhattan Beach (which was somewhat rebranded from El Porto which it had always been called)  Since the beginning of September there have been 6 closed escrows on this  iconic beachfront location. There are still several oceanfront homes for sale on both the Manhattan Beach Strand as well as the Hermosa Beach Strand

Beachfront Homes that Have Sold Since September – Oct 18 on the Strand in Manhattan Beach

508 The Strand Manhattan Beach

Listed at $19,900,000 Luxury Beachfront Home in Manhattan Goes Into Escrow

This was a big one….the new construction* home located at 508 The Strand just recently went into escrow. It had been on the market for quite a while, as many of these ultra high end homes tend to do.  The location doesn’t get much better than this as it’s in a quieter south sand section location near downtown but far enough not to be impacted by the crowds and traffic. Walls of windows on all three floors bring the outdoors in and are ideal for modern living.

Latest Beachfront Sale on the Manhattan Strand

1144 The Strand #B, Manhattan Beach CA 90266 – Sold at $3,500,000

The latest sale on the beachfront Strand market in Manhattan Beach was definitely a project. It was in the middle of a pretty major remodel and it’s also somewhat challenged with the location as it’s steps to downtown so it’s a fairly congested area.  Having said that views of the pier are spectacular.

This most recent sale was a rare condo so the price point was certainly very different from the single family and duplex properties on The Strand. 1144 The Strand #B closed at $3,500,000 after coming on the market in late 2020 for $4,500,000. The seller’s willingness to come down on price certainly played a role in getting it sold. It was a very large condo with almost 2,500 square feet and 3 bed/2 bath. The biggest challenge was that it had been undergoing a major renovation when put on the market so it was basically a construction site which eliminated any traditional financing and took a buyer with a lot of vision.
