The Village Condos in Redondo Beach CA offers some of the most affordable oceanview housing in all of Southern California. The complex also offers low HOA dues and resort like amenities so it’s certainly in high demand. The buildings consist primarily of one bedroom condos with the very occasional studio or two bedroom. 2 bedroom units are rarely for sale.
In addition to them being rare, they’re also the units closest to the water and have straight on ocean views as opposed to angled views looking in between buildings.

Although it’s been on the market for quite a while they just had a major price reduction on the beachfront duplex at 2426 The Strand in Hermosa Beach. While price reductions on homes on The Strand in Manhattan and Hermosa Beach are very common this was a big drop. The home price dropped from $19,250,000 (which was extremely aggressive) to $15,295,000. We’ll see if that makes a difference as the oceanfront home market is quite slow despite a recent uptick in home sales along the beach.

This was a notable sale not only due to the $10,000,000 price point, but due to the ultra high end beachfront Strand market being very slose. It’s not uncommon to see this level home sit on the market for a year or more so it’s a big deal when this level home sells. The home offers a great location for the Strand as it’s walkable to the Hermosa pier area but not too close to deal with any of the congestion.
